Suspected contaminated drinking water affected a mass of nursing students at Coimbatore

Government Coimbatore Medical College nursing students have been severely affected by viral fever due to suspected contaminated drinking water and as many as 26 are admitted to Government Hospital three days before and the students said that their hostel is situated in side the campus of Medical College Hospital and reported that they suspect their drinking water from the over-head tank is contaminated with germs and disease causing organisms.

An Orissa heart patient woman seeking permission for mercy killing from President of India

Orissa : a heart patient Jhunu Behera a resident of K. Barida village, Brahmpur, Ganjam district has gravely requested permission form the President of India and Governor of Orissa for euthanasia (physician assisted suicide or mercy killing).

A recent research conducted by Australian scientists has revealed that stroke victims affected by a condition called aphasia (a condition by damage of a portion of brain by stroke or head injury and it leads to loss of power of speech or writing) could be improved by magnetic stimulation of the brain.

Surat: State Roads and Building Minister Jaydratsinh Parmar has seized expired wheat flour packets through taluka development officer from Dharampur taluka of Valsad district.

Pharmacy Council of India barred new admission in seven pharmacy colleges of Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad: The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has taken action against seven pharmacy colleges in the state for having admitted students more than the permitted numbers of 60.
The PCI has barred all seven colleges to admit more than the permitted numbers in the coming 2012-13 academic year.
