Trial drug AVI-7000 against H1N1 swine flu virus ensures new hopes
The animal study made evaluated AVI-7100 which works against the deadly H1N1 swine flu virus had the quality of promising results in destroying the virus. The data collected from the study results showed its efficacy and standard as good than Tami flu.
The study results revealed that AVI-7000 worked better than the saline solution and Tami flu against the swine flu H1N1 virus.
The analysis of the two studies made on animals revealed that the affected portion of the lungs were very mild treated with AVI-7000, whereas in Tami flu and saline control the damage to the lung tissue is very high. These have been detected after treating the virus affected animals after seven days.
AVI -7000 is an experimental drug that was used in animals for study purposes. The new drug is aimed at treating the swine flu virus effectively than the recently available anti viral drugs like Tami flu. The animal study made by using this drug showed only a mild damage to the lung tissue after infection.
