The pop singer Nadja Benaissa escapes from imprisonment before German court For having exposed HIV virus to men

The German court convicted the pop singer Nadja Benaissa, for having knowlingly exposed HIV virus to two men through unprotected sex.

Nadja Benaissa, aged 28, the German girl is a pop singer was given a two-year suspended sentence and she is punishable up to 10 years imprisonment according to law. But this lenient punishment was given to her on the basis that she confessed the guilty and promised before the court not to indulge in this type of offence in the future.

Benaissa appeared before the Darmstadt court in West Germany and expressed her sorry and told that she asks for acquittal and accepted before the court for the mistake she has done by bodily harming others.

Benaissa was awarded by the court for two year suspended sentence for having spread the virus to two men through unsafe sex and out of the two, one was found positive for the HIV virus.

Benaissa’s lawyer Oliver told that this trial was a stressful experience for her and she had made no complaints and even satisfied with the punishment she had.

Deutsche AIDS-Hilfe spokesman told the verdict as wrong one and added that this verdict will do serious damage to HIV prevention.

It is remarkable that Benaissa was arrested last year for the charges against her and left in prison for 10 days for investigation.
