Swine flu at Kolkata- Death toll rises to three during July
West Bengal records three deaths during July including the one died here of swine flu on Wednesday in Kolkata. After adding the new nine more positive cases, the city stood at 91 for positive cases on Thursday.
The State Health Department for swine flu, released its statement that the recent death of 66 year old happened after admitting him at a private hospital with throat infection and severe hypotension. He was having the fever due to infection since from July 24 and his throat swab confirmed the infection for swine flu on Thursday.
Another patient died on Wednesday was already having pulmonary diseases with diabetes. He was also confirmed for swine flu. Dr. Asit Biswas, nodal officer for swine flu told already 38 patients were now undergoing treatment in govt. ID Hospital and two was serious.
