Black raspberries can prevent colon cancer-Study
The researchers at the University of Illinois, Chicago published a study reporting that the consumption of black raspberries can prevent colon cancer. The earlier studies states that the black raspberries have anti oxidant, anti cancer, anti neurodegenerative and anti inflammatory properties.
The present study states that the compounds or properties present in the fruit can destroy the formation of tumors in colorectal region. Two strains of mice were involved in the research and they were fed either with a high risk diet or the same food with a 10% frozen black raspberry powder in addition to the diet.
The study founds that the raspberry supplemented diet was effective against the tumor and prevents the intestine, colon and rectum area of the body from the formation of tumors.
