Baby Falak at AIIMS could not lead a normal life even after her recovery

Baby Falak who is struggling for her survival at AIIMS for a month time is expected undergo another life saving surgery shortly- AIIMS doctors said.

Falak has to undergo a surgery for implanting a shunt to save her, Dr.Deepak Agarwal, Assistant Prof. and neurosurgeon at AIIMS said that they have analyzed her culture of the brain tissue which shows normal and it does not show any evidence for any brain infection now. He told IANS that she may undergo the surgery on Sunday or on Monday.

the expected surgery is to divert the accumulating fluid in the brain into abdominal cavity which will be absorbed in the blood stream. doctors said that she had already undergone such five life saving surgeries.

Baby Falak, the two year old child, suffered repeated violence on her Agarwal said, ‘Falak is still crtical and under ventilator support.’

Doctors at AIIMS felt that Baby Falak would not be able to lead a normal life as other children even if she is recovered fully from the injuries and they explained that though she is recovered, the infection already affected her brain might have damaged some of the parts of the brain and would suffer a little in the future.

AIIMS Trauma Centre said that a young, 22 year old woman, Munni visited Falak, claiming her as Falak’s mother and stayed back there only for few minutes.

Falak was admitted to AIIMS on 18th January by a 14 year old girl claiming to be her mother with severe injuries including her head.

Police investigations are going on severe were being arrested and the case has so far forwarding in an angle of human trafficking and prostitution.
