American Red Cross issued an urgent call for blood donors.

The American Red Cross Northern Ohio made an urgent call for blood donors to-day.

The Red Cross is monitoring the entire blood requirement for hospitals and emergency services in order to meet out the demand.

Christy Chapman, Communications Manager for the Northern Ohio Region of the Red Cross told that there is a critical need of blood donors now and it is very difficult in recruiting the donors by this summer. Enough blood donors to be received to meet out the requirements for the community hospitals and for the emergency patient care.

He told that all types of donors are needed particularly the donors with O negative group since this type is suitable for infusion with any type of blood and it is very essential to meet out for the patients who is in an emergency state like trauma situations.

It is stated that more than 39,000 pints of blood are needed in U.S. every day. The donated blood is used for the treatment in cancer, trauma victims, premature babies, blood disorders and in transplant recipients. Each blood donation will able to save three lives.

Chapman told that we now urge people to have an appointment to donate blood now it self and he added that those patients who are struggling for their lives needs your blood now to save their lives.
