India submitted a report and the health ministry on Friday said that there are no cases of total drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB). This report was followed by the declaration of total drug resistant tuberculosis cases by P.D.Hinduja hospital.
Following the report of the hospital, the government organized a central team comprising senior medical officer, Central TB division; consultant (drug resistant TB) including national programme officer (laboratory) and the team went to Mumbai on Tuesday.

A study carried out by researchers at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and the University of British Columbia revealed that the drug users who inject the drug methamphetamine have an 80 percent greater risk of attempting suicide than drug users who inject other drugs.
