The device will run with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor in the USA, while the Samsung Exynos 8895 will be used everywhere else.

Popular smartphone leakster Evan Blass has published a new piece on Venture Beat, confirming the Galaxy S8's release date as well all the key specifications of the smartphone. The phones will have an unusual aspect ratio for the display at 18.5:9, with both models getting the "edge" design. Additionally, Samsung has removed nearly every front component including the fingerprint reader and hardware navigation buttons to make room for a larger display with minimal bezel, a trend we expect to go standard in the smartphone industry this year. We are also being treated to the first-ever alleged live photos of the smartphone, which leave little to imagination. These are being removed, which would also eliminate the fingerprint scanner from the front display. Other devices will be powered by Exynos SoC.

SAMSUNG'S new smartphone features have been revealed thanks to slip-up in an employee's Linkedin profile. However, 64GB will be the default storage option with a memory slot to expand storage with up to 256GB microSD card. In terms of numbers, the chips are said to offer 11 percent faster performance overall and up to 23 percent faster graphics processing compared to the Galaxy S7. Which might not seem much, but due to the efficient nature of the new chipset and some software tricks, power consumption should be conservative. The model with 5.8-inch display will sport a 3,000 mAh battery while the other with 6.2-inch display gets a 3,500 mAh battery.

What do you think about the new Samsung Galaxy S8 design language?Additionally, Samsung has removed almost ecery front Component including the Fingerprint reader and hardware navigations buttons to make room and Bezel.

Speaking about the camera specifications, the report added that it might have a 12-megapixel f/ 1.7 rear camera with an 8-megapixel f/1.7 front camera. So, we can not expect big changes in the camera. We've rumored for a while that iris scanner will be part of the S8. It is expected that the fingerprint sensor is at the rear adjacent to the camera. With DeX, you can connect your mobile to a larger display and use it in a desktop-like mode.

The snapper will benefit from the oft-reported visual search feature, courtesy of the Bixby personal assistant.

The report also notes that the rumors regarding the delay were correct and that Samsung intends to unveil the Galaxy S8 on March 29th. Samsung will also likely be dropping the "Edge" moniker this time around, as both sizes will come with a curved display. They will both go on sale on April 21 and retail for €100 more than the S7 (€799 for the 5.8-inch model and €899 for the 6.2-inch model).
