Offering powerful hardware alongside the ability to carry and work wherever you are, the Surface Pro device family has been a major success for Microsoft. No one other than Microsoft knows what they will do in the future, however one thing that is sure is that they will launch a new handset.

Under the hood, Surface Pro 5 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor and few other reports suggest the device will be powered by Intel's 7th Generation Kaby Lake processor.

This action already appears to be taking place, as visitors to Microsoft's United States store searching for the Surface Pro 3 are instead redirected to the Store homepage.

If Microsoft wants to grab the attention away from Samsung and Apple they are going to have to come up with something good for the Microsoft Surface phone.

The news comes as rumours continue to mount about an upcoming Surface Pro 5 release date. But, there were no words mentioning about the Surface Pro 5 and the event was limited to the Surface Book i7 and the Surface Studio.

Reports have claimed that the Surface Pro 5 will upgrade the screen seen on previous devices, allowing for 4K UltraHD resolution, as well as packing in improved hardware.

Microsoft, the Redmond-based tech giant though silent on its device Surface Pro 5, tech enthusiasts are indeed waiting for its official announcement.

The device is also speculated to feature USB Type-C ports, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging and improved Surface Pen. This seems like a logical flow of device at regular intervals from Microsoft.

Recent reports have even hinted a foldable Surface Phone due to a patent filing from Microsoft that describes a flexible screen concept. The Microsoft Surface Dial could also be made compatible with Surface Pro 5. The Surface Pro 4 has received quite a positive response from the people and it's the one Surface device that constantly gets incredible reviews from tech blogs.

The company says that the Surface Pro 4 is able to offer you around 9 hours of battery life, more than enough for the average working day.
