There were over 1 million registrations over at JD.com for the Nokia 6 smartphone. However, it is still unknown as to how many units of the device went up for sale yesterday.

Now the device is available only in China and is expected to be available soon in India.

If you are planning to buy a new smartphone, you should wait for Nokia to deal all it cards and make a decision about buying one. So far, the company has not given a timeline of when smartphone users in the United States can get their hands on the popular Nokia 6.

It can be recalled that the Nokia 6 is Nokia's first release after its 3-year hiatus. The company stated that it guarantees "superior craftsmanship and design quality". There is a fingerprint scanner on the right of the device as well. It also houses dual sim that is great for muli-purpose phones. The Nokia 6 is a result of listening to our consumers who desire a beautifully crafted handset with exceptional durability, entertainment and display features.

It also has Dolby Atmos technology which is augmented with stereo front facing speakers. The device itself wasn't quite the magic piece of hardware it should have been - largely because it ended up being more of a stepping stone to Windows Phone.

The Nokia 6 is a low priced device with reasonable yet pretty cool specifications. However, the Android-powered tablet is believed to be a new device from Nokia. As HMD Global has already confirmed its attendance for MWC 2017, this speculation is firmly within the realm of high possibility. This brand, HMD, is made up of former Nokia staff.

In 2013, Nokia sold its mobile division for almost $7.2 billion to Microsoft. A new group of people who used to work at Nokia bought back part of the business sold to Microsoft - and now they're licensing the Nokia brand from the people who control the brand.

With these high-end specifications, there's a chance that Nokia will once again be able to reclaim its spot in the competitive mobile phone market dominated by the likes of Samsung, Apple and LG.
