Man sought in girlfriend's murder found dead

A man accused of gunning down his girlfriend in her Brockton home has been found dead.

Police say they're searching for Monteiro's boyfriend, 38-year-old Matias Andrade.

State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office, Brockton Police and Boston Police are all investigating the incident. They said she was found by a family member with multiple gunshot wounds, and died at the scene.

State Police pinged Andrade's cell phone to and a K-9 unit was dispatched to in the area of where his vehicle had been abandoned.

Both deaths remain under investigation.

Authorities say at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Brockton Police Department received a 911 call reporting a female found shot on Lexington Street.

Authorities say, police had located the white Honda Civic by 8:00 p.m., but are still actively pursuing Andrade. "She leaves what she's doing to help you out", friend Zezito Alves said.
