Three men have been arrested and hundreds of illicit pills have been seized after a sting on a drug operation near a Langford elementary school.

Police say the proximity to the school is "quite concerning".

"The RCMP is focused on targeting organized crime groups which seize upon and exploit all opportunities to profit from the sale of illicit drugs", West Shore RCMP said in a news release.

Police are asking for the public's assistance after seizing a substantial amount of pills and cash at a residence half a block from Ruth King elementary in Langford.

Inmates decapitated during mass killing spree in Brazilian prison
Drug gangs that originated in prisons are expanding their sway and battling one another for territorial control of the trade. They also decapitated a number of prisoners in revenge for a separate prison massacre earlier in the week.

Two of the men, described by RCMP as "known criminals" were charged with possession for the goal of trafficking: 41-year-old Edgar Acevedo and 37-year-old Erickson Delalcazar of Langford.

Acevedo and Delalcazar were charged with possession for the objective of trafficking while the third suspect faces charges. Acevedo and Delalcazar have been charged with possession for the objective of trafficking and all three were released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.

Anyone with information on the drug operation is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
