2017 promises to be a major year for fans of video games, with not one but two new brand new system launches lined up for this year. Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg exulted, while Josh Stein posted, "Welcome to the year of the Scorpio!"

The Xbox One S is hands down, the best all-around console that could be found in the market nowadays, as you can get an OC GPU, as it gives the Xbox one a huge upgrade in terms of fps rates and power, as it gives you a 4k BR player, 4k upscaling, as well as HDR quality for all games.

While the Xbox One Scorpio project has yet to be given a firm release date, Microsoft have stuck with the line that it is set to arrive Holiday 2017.

In a follow-up tweet, the Xbox marketing head expressed that "people are ready" for the Scorpio. However, Phil Spencer played it smart and took a measured approach on this matter saying it will be a good year for Xbox One and will wait on hype until they have games to show.

"Going to be a good year", Spencer replied. Microsoft aimed to design a platform with more balanced specs rather than focusing on just one game-enhancing component of the console.

An event stacked with Scorpio game demos and more info on the gaming machine as a whole would help build up the hype early on, especially if native 4K was also on display. While the console will definitely pack 6 TFLOPs under its hood but not all developers are convinced that the performance or visuals boost will be significant enough initially.

Recently, one of the developers of Tarsier Studios, Dave Mervik, has spoken before about the new console of Nintendo, Switch, and now offers us what are his thoughts about Project Scorpio.

As we all know, during this 2017 it will be made available in the market the new Xbox code-named Project Scorpio.
