Headey and Irish musician Peter Loughran are locked in a legal fight over their six-year-old son Wylie, with Loughran demanding Headey pay his £31,000 ($A52,529) in legal fees.

It was previously reported that Headey and her GoT co-stars had "banded together and recently concluded a renegotiation that will pay them each $1.1 million per episode for seven episodes of season seven and six episodes of season eight". "Lena urged me to quit my job and travel with her on her work as an actress and take care of our minor son".

TMZ is reporting that the documents claim Lena makes $1 million per episode on the HBO fantasy drama - in which she plays Cersei Lannister - and can therefore afford to part ways with the money Peter needs.

Loughran's filing reportedly confirms Headey has recently received a pay rise.

As Loughran claimed, "Lena has a very large income from Game of Thrones and other film projects".

At present, Lena is only allowed to take her son to the United Kingdom whilst she is filming, and Peter claimed shooting should have finished by now, before Lena produced the letter confirming she was needed until at least January 31 2017.

Headey has also claimed she pays Loughran $US10,000 ($A13,500) a month in child support despite him rarely seeing Wylie in recent months.

The court is yet to rule on Loughran's new demands.

Headey filed for divorce from her husband in 2012 after five years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of their split.
