Actor Florence Henderson, who was 82 years old, died after suffering from heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles on November 24. Henderson even made a small cameo during one of McCormick's routines, channeling Carol Brady and bustin' a few moves before McCormick and her dance partner, Artem Chigvinstev, danced the quickstep to the The Brady Bunch theme song.

Maureen McCormick went to a dark place after playing the oldest girl on "The Brady Bunch", including a five-year addiction to cocaine.

Susan Olsen never shows up unprepared - and she has Florence Henderson to thank for that.

Henderson's life story wasn't as ideal as the character she played. She said that she wanted to create a mother like the one she had always wished she had had, someone who was kind, who was caring, loving and willing to hear her kids out and give them the benefit of the doubt. Carol, a single mother of three daughters, was married to Mike Brady, a single father of three sons.

A number of other stars have also expressed their sadness on social media. "She nurtured everybody. She was so caring", Lauer said.

Comic relief was provided by the family housekeeper, Alice, played by Ann B. Davis.

In addition to the original Brady Bunch, Henderson appeared in several spinoff shows including The Brady Brides in 1981 and The Bradys in 1990, as well as several movies based on the sitcom.

"It's such a gentle, innocent, sweet show, and I guess it proved there's always an audience for that", Henderson said in 1999. I think that buried in that scene is the success of the entire show.

He added that after all the tragedies that happened in season 2, " Outlander " season 3 "feels like a very new chapter". This may be the " Outlander " Season 3 star's subtle response to the never-ending dating rumors about them.

Florence Agnes Henderson was born February 14, 1934, in Dale, Indiana, the youngest of 10 children.

"Well, you can't grow up in Kentucky", Henderson responded before trailing off.

Henderson said during a pre-race interview that she enjoyed the change of pace, of being freed from a singing commitment at the race. A year later, she starred in a Broadway revival of the acclaimed musical.

"She is the real thing", wrote Walter Kerr of the New York Herald Tribune. In May, her new show "The Eleventh", debuted on Hallmark's subscription channel.

"Corrective surgery in both ears restored my hearing", she said in 2007. She later became popular game show panelist, TV guest star and the very visible spokesperson for Wesson cooking oil.

Henderson's first marriage, to theater producer Ira Bernstein, ended in divorce. She was the 10th child of a tobacco sharecropper of Irish descent.

It was her role as the mother of the blended family on The Brady Bunch, which aired 1969 to 1974, which came to define her career. Earlier this year, we saw her attend a taping of "Dancing with the Stars" in support of her former co-star Maureen McCormick, who was competing for the Mirrorball Trophy.
