A new report from Korea indicates that Samsung will stick to that policy next year, when the Galaxy S8 will be available only in curved screen varieties.

However, a recent report now claims that two different foldable smartphones are being developed by Samsung, and interestingly, one of them is expected to be launched in 2017.

Samsung is reportedly working on two smartphones with flexible displays.

Samsung has enough resources and technology to mass produce smartphones with flexible displays.

Samsung Display has provided its curved panels for Chinese smartphone makers Huawei and Vivo. Also, it is being reported that a small number of smartphone units will be rolled out in 2017 itself so that the company can actually understand the market trends for a dual-screen smartphone.

Making a new smartphone completely or bringing out old-fashioned foldable phones that once ruled the mobile industry might be also a solution to rebrand its image, THECOUNTRYCALLER reported.

The rumoured foldable smartphone with dual-screen is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Conference (MWC) to be held in February 2017 in Barcelona or the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) which will take place in January in Las Vegas.

Samsung has been adopting duel edge screens to set its design apart from other smartphones but the move has been fast followed by Chinese tech firms and Apple. Then it announced the Galaxy Note Edge which was a revolutionary device as it was the first one to have an edge display. Additionally, these experts might also be aware of the fact that the dual curved design might compromise the battery's own integrity like it did on the Note 7, but no major issues have plagued Galaxy S7 edge owners till now. According to the document of the patent released, a thin Samsung smartphone with a bendable screen could be seen, that folds like a flip phone.
