The Humane Society of Fairfax County offers animals for adoption.

According to a Facebook post, all adoptable animals at the shelter had already been adopted, had an application in place from a potential owner or had a hold placed on them by 1:30 p.m.

"We're really happy to be able to help out, and so grateful to the San Luis Obispo community for opening their hearts and homes to these animals, and it's really been wonderful", said Jill Tucker, Executive Director of Woods Humane Society. People bringing a large bag of Purina Cat Chow or a large bag of scoopable or non-scoopable cat litter will get half off the $100 adoption fee.

The event, which started on Black Friday, isn't over. The shelter is open six days a week from noon to 5 p.m. and is closed on Wednesdays and all major holidays.
