Here's What Urban Meyer Tweeted About Ohio State's CFB Playoff Selection

So it seems the selection committee has an easy time of selecting the top four teams who will enter the playoff. And oh the drama we will see, which is the reason for the chaos.

Ohio State lost to Penn State on October 22, but closed the season with a double-overtime victory over then-No.

Stoops and the Sooners are headed to the Sugar Bowl. Wiped out. Blown out.

Alabama got all 61 first-place votes in the poll.

"We have been doing this our whole life", Watson said Saturday night, "and we came to Clemson for these moments like this, playing championship games and playing on the big stage".

The Huskies' only loss was to 10th-ranked Southern California and its nonconference schedule featured FCS Portland State, Rutgers and Idaho. It feels as if no one can challenge Alabama. Without further ado, here are the four teams who will be competing for the national championship trophy.

"Saquon Barkley I think is going to keep 'em honest", Franklin said. The Crimson Tide may do something no team has managed to do since the 19th century. The match up would be likely the same against the Clemson Tigers.

Penn State will play in the Rose Bowl for the fourth time after being left out of the College Football Playoff on Sunday.

"The selection committee believes (Washington is) a better football team than Penn State", Hocutt added during the televised selection show. Their main points of emphasis when deciding between two teams were head to head wins and conference championships. The Tigers will wear their home jerseys for their match-up with the Buckeyes in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl. However, Penn State is the better option to represent the Big Ten if they only choose one Big Ten team.

"I hate to tell you, but there are no underdogs in this playoff", Swinney said. Penn State's 38-31 victory Saturday over Wisconsin wasn't enough. Both teams are capable of producing an exciting and close game.

For Clemson the key is going to be keeping Barrett contained. Stanford, the Pac-12 victor, had two.

"I felt like we were in a pretty good spot", Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett said.

The final rankings are in. Penn State fans were hopeful of an upset but not optimistic.

Swinney also said last season's run to the national championship game gives his team "a great experience to draw on".

"But I will say that Penn State significantly enhanced their position in our conversations after their victory over Wisconsin and the performance we saw last night as they won the Big Ten Championship". Alabama is getting in.

Coming into the week, Ohio State was ranked No. 2, though it didn't play in the Big Ten title game. I'm not buying the argument for Penn State for several reasons: one, because conferences and divisions have mostly ceased to be anything more than television revenue structures, and two, because it lost to MI by 39 points, much less to Pitt.
