"We are prepared for last-minute entries", McGlenn said.

There's definitely a chill in the air...so we're thinking about the annual Woodburn Lighted Christmas Parade! The parade will run down Market Street, past The Circle and through the middle of town.

This year's parade committee - Shelli Arntz, Shelley Boehmer, Debbie Brandow, Tammy Holdwick, and Tammy Roberts - has been working hard to bring the event together.

In addition, the Christmas Jam - a group of local musicians - will offer a free performance at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Fourth Street Warehouse. Residents of and visitors to the Buffalo Community lined Main Street to see the many floats, vehicles, and marchers that took part in the parade including, of course, Santa. From there the procession will turn left onto Main Street, then right on Kitchell to Evergreen Park. There will be a contest for the floats or entries with the best interpretation of the theme: "The Traditions of Christmas". These streets will be closed at 3:00 pm and re-open at the conclusion of the parade.

Many people were thrilled the good weather made the parade so much fun. After the movie, the Parade of Lights will begin.

"We heard a lot of great ideas for next year to get the parade to grow and people plan to be more involved in the future", Black said. There will also be holiday arts and crafts vendors starting at 10 a.m.

Rehoboth Beach (Tuesday, Dec. 6, beginning at 6:30 p.m.). Santa will arrive, at the end of the parade, on a Malta-McConnelsville Fire Department fire truck. The parade rolls out at 4 p.m.

White said the grand marshals for this year's parade will be emergency first responders in recognition of the important jobs they perform during emergencies in the city and county.
