Henderson, who played the beloved Carol Brady on the early "70s sitcom, was surrounded by friends and family when she died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering heart failure, the actress" manager Kayla Pressman said in a statement to the Associated Press on Thursday. So many have gone this year.

She also made cameo appearances in comedy films such as Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult, Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star and Fifty Shades of Black.

It was never revealed whether Henderson's character was divorced or widowed, and the wholesome show seldom delved into the divisive social issues that seeped into other sitcoms of the period.

Post- "The Brady Bunch", Henderson alternated her appearances in revivals of the show with guest appearances on other programs. She was maternal, and she had two families.

Three days before her death, Florence Henderson supported her onscreen Brady Bunch daughter Maureen McCormick and the cast of Dancing With the Stars on the show's season finale.

Another actor from the show, Barry Williams, played Greg Brady and is now performing in Branson.

Carmel resident Rob Kirsh shared an anecdote of Henderson's accessibility, which he learned about when contacting the celebrity's website with hopes of assisting his 9-year-old daughter with a "famous Hoosier" research project in 2015.

She also became a commercial spokeswoman and co-produced “Country Kitchen, ” a Nashville Network series, The Los Angeles Times reported. She was actually very progressive, starting with her role on "The Brady Bunch", which first aired in 1969.Carol was a single mother raising her girls alone when she met Mike Brady, and their union provided television with one of its first blended families. And, of course, she brought back Carol Brady for numerous "Brady Bunch" spinoffs and specials.

Susan also said that her heart goes to Florence's four children as she feels like The Brady Bunch always "stole the limelight from them".

She played Carol Ann Brady in series The Brady Brunch.

Henderson liked to remind people she and Carol had their differences - for one, Henderson, the youngest of 10 children of an IN tobacco farmer, always worked. Florence hooked her ankles under a seat and reached over the boat to pull the young actress out of the water.

The singer-turned-actress then took her talents to television. "It was only the Brady Bunch kids that sang it". She and Reed did return, however, for "The Brady Bunch Hour", "The Brady Brides" and "The Bradys". Initially, she was meant to have been a comedic character, similar to Ball, but was rewritten to be the more familiar, maternal figure after it was felt that Ann B. Davis' character Alice, the household maid, would serve as the comic relief.

She dropped out of the program after one year, however, to take the role in "Wish You Were There". "We thank all of her fans for their many years of love and ask that we be allowed to grieve in private". She also appeared on a 1958 audience participation series, "Sing Along", and game shows like "The Match Game" and "Password". Henderson later married hypnotherapist John Kappas, who died in 2002.
