When is the Chicago Cubs World Series Championship parade?

Shaw, who got the final two outs in the ninth, looked like a totally different pitcher when he went back to the mound on the 10th.

And for Harry Caray, who promised viewers after the 1991 finale that "sure as God made green apples, someday the Chicago Cubs are going to be in the World Series".

Kris Bryant started to smile even before he fielded the ball. Ben Zobrist delivered a run-scoring double down the left-field line, and third-string catcher Miguel Montero followed with the RBI single to give the Cubs some much-needed breathing room. Revelers also stood shoulder-to-shoulder at adjacent Gateway Plaza on the unseasonably warm evening, watching the game on large screens.

In the bottom of the tenth, the Indians threatened again.

The Indians, lifeless until then, suddenly had crawled within 5-3 and energized a crowd that had a heavy, happy, loud contingent of Cub fans.

Twenty-one other teams had won the World Series since Cubs last were champions.

The game had no shortage of stomach-tightening moments for both teams and their fans.

The Cubs struck quickly with a solo home run to center field by lead-off hitter Dexter Fowler, off Indians starter Corey Kluber in the first inning. Second baseman Javy Baez, 24. The Indians failed to capitalize on what might have been a big inning. A sacrifice fly by Addison Russell scored Bryant, then a double by Willson Contreras brought in the Cubs' second run of the frame.

When LeBron James and the Cavaliers ended the city's 52-year championship drought in June, the Indians went along for the ride as Cleveland morphed into "Believeland" and there was a feeling anything was possible.

But in what would prove to be the next-to-last plate appearance of his career, Ross homered off of all relievers, Andrew Miller.

The right-hander was charged with three hits and two runs.

All it took was a stirring comeback from a 3-1 deficit, one of the greatest Game 7s in baseball history - and a little help from above.

It is when he is stumbling around 2015-era Hill Valley that Marty comes across an old man (for some reason wearing two ties - one fashion trend that is still yet to catch on) who is collecting money to fix the clock tower which was hit by lightning in the first film, allowing Marty to get back to 1985.

The Cubs' drought lasted 39,465 days, the last two years of which were spent with Joe Maddon as manager.
