NFL Trade Rumors: Terrelle Pryor to Green Bay Packers?

They went down in the third quarter with Rodgers sacked, then he fumbled and Leonard Floyd from the Bears came up with the ball.

With the loss, the Bears fell to 1-6, their worst seven-game start since they were also 1-6 in 2000.

Week 7's Thursday night offering appears to shape up as a one-sided affair between a perennial championship contender (Green Bay) and a playoff wanna-be (Chicago).

As Hoyer dropped back to pass, Packers defenders Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews both came crashing in on Hoyer- Hoyer falling with all of his weight onto his throwing shoulder.

John Fox confirmed Hoyer broke his left arm at half time. He was taken to the locker room shortly thereafter, and by reports went straight to X-rays. Brian Hoyer has been playing like a significant upgrade at the Quarterback position for this team, passing for over three hundred yards in his last four games. It was the same old story for this team, who now have 10 days to prepare for the undefeated Minnesota Vikings.

It was an ugly day for the Green Bay offense for stretches of the game, but they stayed focused on the pass in the second half and got into a rhythm.

Chicago's Secondary: It's no secret that in recent years this unit has gotten torched by Aaron Rodgers twice a year.

Rodgers wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination either especially when you consider he was forced to throw it almost 60 times because Eddie Lacy was placed on injured reserve before the game and wide receiver Ty Montgomery was the team's feature back. Everything from his mechanics and footwork to a declining skill set was being discussed.

That leaves the Packers with the one-two (very soft) punch of Don Jackson and Knile Davis. In particular, using Cobb and Montgomery-14 combined carries Thursday-in the backfield may work in the short term but likely isn't sustainable over the long haul. Facing Rodgers is a challenge, but I felt like our play-calling was excellent. "There's a lot to build on". Will the defense be up to the task of containing the Bears? It's honestly rare to see a QB or a player get this kind of perpetual fretting over from the media.

"Well, when you lose your starting quarterback it can be disruptive".

Lacy, who suffered an ankle injury in Week 6, will either return after eight weeks or miss the rest of the season.
