Cruise was a recent guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live and while he was there to promote Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, he found himself answering the question that every celebrity gets asked in every single interview: would you play a superhero?

Tom Cruise has brought the idea of a sequel to 80s classic movie Top Gun even closer - after admitting he's been discussing it with producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

"It's just got to be right, that's all", he said. "We've just gotta figure it out". When he stepped into the passenger seat of a jet for his first flight, a test pilot by the name of "Bozo" pushed the plane to its limit and caused Cruise to vomit nearly immediately.

The two did chat a little about Cruise's new film, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. I've got to have at least three flights in the F-14.

Cruise couldn't hold his lunch down or let it out: "My head was literally on the ground from the pressure".

Cruise may be too coy to say it out loud, but the differences in movie types he hints at are pretty clear: superhero films are full of CGI green screen effects, pulpy (sometimes silly) stories and colorful costumes. During the late night stop, Tommyboy made a grand entrance to the actual Kenny Loggins playing "Highway to the Danger Zone" and then the superstar revealed to Jimmy that he met the singer for the first time that night! "I vomited with the Blue Angels".

"Jerry and I were talking about it". "It's just gotta be right, that's all". I kept going 'Bozo! Naturally, the pilot told Cruise (again), "I told you, they don't call me Bozo for nothing". I was like, 'Bozo, what's the matter with you, man? "I remember saying, 'Bozo, these lights. There's a lot of red lights.' He's like, 'Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.' He starts turning them off".

Ahead of the 30th anniversary of Top Gun last May, media spoke with Bruckheimer, who was more optimistic about a second movie but was adamant about having his leading man on board.
